CEMEX Miami cement plant obtains EPA ENERGY STAR® certification for 11th consecutive year


HOUSTON, November 2, 2021 / PRNewswire / – CEMEX United States announced today its Miami, Florida, the cement plant was recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the 11e consecutive year for its continuous efforts in energy efficiency and sustainable development, obtaining ENERGY STAR® 2021 certification.

Over the past decade, employees at CEMEX’s Miami Cement Plant have continued to follow EPA ENERGY STAR guidelines, using energy-saving technologies and processes aimed at certification. To earn this achievement each year, including for 2021 certification, Miami cement plant operations had to meet the ENERGY STAR plant energy performance indicators and rank in the 25% of similar U.S. facilities.
