Island Energy Services purchases Hatch parcel store and gas station

(September 21, 2021) After four decades behind the counter of Hatch’s Package Store, Judy Brownell sells the Orange Street liquor store and gas station to Island Energy Services.

“The only thing that would change would be ownership,” Island Energy Services CEO Todd Boling said Tuesday.

“We are excited about the opportunity to work with Judy to transfer her ownership to our Ownership Group, which would be a separate entity outside of the Island Energy Services umbrella.”

Island Energy Services operates Harbor Fuel, Yates Island Gas and Airport Gas.

Brownell declined to comment on the sale until it is finalized. It is expected to close later this year. The price was not disclosed, although the half-acre property is valued at $ 2.74 million, according to the city’s appraiser’s office.

The pending sale does not include the nearby Henry Jr. sandwich shop and Bill Fisher Tackle property, also owned by Brownell through Butnell Corporation.
