SJVN holds state-level painting competition on energy conservation on December 5, 2021

SHIMLA: SJVN is running a state-level painting competition in Himachal Pradesh under the aegis of the Office of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Energy, Government of India. SJVN is the hub for the organization of the state level painting competition in Himachal Pradesh. Pupils in classes V to X are eligible to participate in the Competition – Group ‘A’ (for classes V to VII) & Group ‘B’ (for classes VIII to X).

Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director (Staff) informed that the online registration for the state-level painting competition is open until November 30, 2021. In addition, schools can apply by email ([email protected]) or submit prescribed entry forms directly to O / o State Nodal Officer, State Level Painting Competition 2021, SJVN, Shimla. Students can register on their own or through their school at www.bee-studentsaward.in. The central theme of the painting competition is “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”, while the subjects of the painting competition are:

– Energy efficient India

– Cleaner planet

She further said that the state-level painting competition for Himachal Pradesh state is scheduled for December 5, 2021 and will be held at three locations, namely Shimla, Jhakri and Hamirpur. Participants can enter the competition at the location closest to them.

Smt. Kapur also informed that the first prize is Rs. 50,000 / – each in the two groups while the second and third prize will be Rs. 30,000 / – and Rs. 20,000 / – each respectively. In addition, there will be ten consolation prizes of Rs. 7,500 each for both groups. The best three paintings from each group will be sent to compete in the national level painting competition and the winners will be chosen based on paintings drawn by the students in the national level competition. At the national level painting competition, the first prize is Rs 1,000,000 / – each for both groups while the second and third prize will be Rs. 50,000 / – and Rs. 30,000 / – each respectively. In addition to these, there will be ten consolation prizes of Rs. 15,000 each for both groups.

SJVN has been the nodal agency for organizing state-level painting competitions in Himachal Pradesh since 2004. The competition organized by SJVN is an exemplary effort to provide students with a platform for them to show their creativity and sensitize them to energy conservation.
